As of May 1st, real estate brokers across Quebec will finally have choices, and that's a very good thing. Competition drives innovation, and you will benefit directly from it, now that Centris will no longer have a say in our development roadmap or in which features Immocontact can or cannot offer you.
Tootelo Innovation, Immocontact's parent company, has been developing AI tools since 2017 and has recently built a brand-new AI team dedicated specifically to real estate.
First of all, the Immocontact platform you know will remain fully available on May 1st and after, without interruption. The interfaces will initially stay the same. No training required, nothing changes: just a new login and you're in.
That said, you will quickly notice major innovations that will make a real difference in your day-to-day work:
- A fresh new look, why not!
- A new messaging system called RCS, replacing the very outdated SMS. It is more secure, much faster (read: much, much faster), and includes read receipts (a major advantage for brokers).
- An AI assistant you can interact with to launch your Immocontact communications, and which will soon be able to handle low-value tasks on your behalf.
- A voice AI assistant allowing you to work hands-free while driving.
- An AI search assistant enabling entirely new ways of finding properties, for example: “condo with city view, morning sun in the master's bedroom, and zebra-pattern kitchen countertops,” and sharing them directly with your clients.
- An AI receptionist to handle agency calls outside business hours and significantly reduce operational costs.
- And most importantly, a team of AI specialists who will position your listings within generative AI systems (ChatGPT and others), where your future prospects are now searching!
Brokers who remain with Immocontact will not only have early access to these innovations, they'll be way ahead of the game while others try to catch up.
We will keep you informed of all developments and new features via Immocontact.com and the mobile app.
For those who want to centralise all communications within Immocontact, we will provide an automation tool for this purpose; details will follow shortly. For those who prefer to centralise them in Espace Centris, we will this time allow Centris to copy our automation.
A word on the legal matter
Some are trying to label us as “sore losers” in this whole situation. We would rather say we have been “far too fair players.”
For years, while Centris was developing “NewImmo” (an internal project name) without our knowledge, its developers repeatedly accessed our platform. During that same time, we continued to collaborate in good faith by sharing our expertise and development plans, and even building new features for free at Centris' request, since Centris was, in our view and according to our contract, a partner.
All of these facts are documented, verified, and part of the public court record. The legal process may take years, but ultimately the courts will decide on the legality of these actions.
As for access to Immocontact, which was allegedly interrupted over the weekend and restored on Monday, your access in fact remained active at all times. In fact, more than 40,000 logins were recorded on Immocontact between Saturday and Sunday alone! The Court requested that we delay the activation of our new login page until May 1st, which we fully respect.
Before closing, we would be remiss not to respond to Centris' criticism regarding our alleged lack of collaboration:
“If I pick apples in your orchard without permission, it would be somewhat ‘bold’ of me to ask you to collaborate in preparing my pies.”
Serving Quebec real estate brokers since 1994,
